In the mornings the classes will be held in Mysore Style, the traditional way of teaching Ashtanga Yoga. Andrea will give each student individual attention and support in their practice. The afternoons are dedicated to regenerative Yoga (Yin Yoga), Yoga philosphy and the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga There will be enough free time between the classe to enjoy the Adriatic sea, the villages, the mountains and to relax at the pool. All levels of students are welcome to join the retreat, some experience in ashtanga yoga is recommended.

After the wonderful experience of the 2011 retreat at Angeli di Montefiore, we are delighted to be returning in 2012, for 2 consecutive week-long retreats.

These retreats will be lead by David and Paula, the directors of Ashtanga Yoga Dublin, who have over 25 years of teaching experience. Both are long-time practitioners of Ashtanga Yoga and were direct students of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore. They are dedicated to maintaining the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga as it was taught by Guruji and to living according to simple Yoga principles. David and Paula believe that what we do on our Yoga mats only becomes meaningful when it influences the way we are off the mat. Joy, compassion, awareness and health are the attributes we should find developing. Join us in Angeli di Montefiore for a week (or two), a perfect environment for the cultivate of these qualities.
These retreats are suitable for everyone, from an absolute Beginner with no Yoga backdground, or those who are not new to Yoga but have not practised Ashtanga before, to those who are familiar with and proficient in Primary and/or Intermediate Series.

22-29 September 2012 Yoga & Music Retreat with Michaela Derra, Elisa Bruni and Spring Groove
The mornings are dedicated to yoga asana, pranayama and meditation followed by a delicious brunch. In the afternoon optional excursions can be made to the stunning beaches and beautiful villages in the area. Going for a walk or just relaxing at the pool are further possibilities as well as indulging in an optional Thai Massage. Later in the day we will meet again for kirtan lessons and/or chanting together.
